As the scout progresses in obtaining merit badges he also moves up in rank. Early in his time as a scout this can happen nearly every Court of Honor! The Rank has always been on the left pocket and with Switch 'Em the scout can have immediate recognition every time they advance. 

As a scout master this couldn't make life easier. When you have the patches prepared in advance it is a simple process of removing the old rank and putting the new one on the uniform!

For families, gone are the days of wondering where the patch went before it could be sewn on. The uniform never needs to get near needle and thread. Just machine stitch the rank to the hook patch and they are ready for their next adventures in their new rank.
